Zero Balancing

What is Zero Balancing?

Zero Balancing is a hands-on body/mind therapy that balances the relationship of energy and structure.

Zero Balancing is based on the view that, in health, there is a well functioning balance between body structure and body energy. Zero Balancing addresses that relationship through the application of gentle hands on pressure to the bones, and light traction to joints, called fulcrums. These fulcrums address tension held in the tissue, and are points around which the body can relax and reorganize.

Re balancing energy and structure, coming 'back to zero', can generate profound changes for the better; emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Zero Balancing enables your own energy to flow in stronger, clearer ways, helping you to feel more like yourself and more at home in your body.

Zero Balancing connects a person to their core so they feel more like themselves and more at home in their body.

Tissue holds memory

Imagine a tree growing in a field  It’s a very windy field, and the tree responds to the wind by growing ‘off center’. The movement of the wind energy imprinted itself on the structure of the tree, allowing the tree to express this in its form. Our bodies can react in a similar fashion to physical, mental and emotional energy that moves toward us.  Unlike the tree, we have the ability to move out of the windy field, though the memory of the force can still imprint itself on our structure.

With Zero Balancing we address areas of tension in the body, allowing a deep sense of calm to arise, and space for transformation to follow.

Zero Balancing Session

The work is done fully clothed, on a massage table and can take approximately 45 minutes. I will assess your body for tension, particularly tension held in the bones and joints. Then, I will use gentle finger pressure or traction to help release held tension throughout the body.

Zero Balancing enables your own energy to flow in stronger, clearer ways – helping you to feel more like yourself and more at home in your body.
